Colorado Ski Savings That Won't Leave You Cold

The ski season is here and some Colorado resorts are offering money-saving deals for your whole family. Booking early for hotel/lift ticket deals, and taking advantage of some hotel's special offers, can put your dream ski vacation on a budget.

Get yourself to Steamboat, the self-styled "Ski capital of the US." Steamboat resorts are offering two deals this season that will keep everything about your trip enjoyable, including the price. If guests book at least 4 nights and buy 3 days of lift passes by November 3rd through Steamboat central Reservations, they'll receive the Early Rewards package for savings of 20%. If you don't make that cut-off but book by December 5th, you'll still get 15% off lodging and lifts. On top of the Early Rewards package, Steamboat is also giving every guest who flies to Colorado a $25 prepaid gift card so that bags fly for free.

Copper Mountain Ski Resort is offering a similar early booking package: guests who book 4 nights of lodging and 4 Beeline lift passes before November 23rd will get 20% off of their bookings. The Beeline lift passes give skiers access to specialty lifts so they'll spend less time waiting in line and more time hitting the slopes. Rates start at only $114/N pp (kids 12 and under ski and stay free), so book now and start packing your snowsuit.

Colorado's oldest resort, Winter Park, has undergone some serious renovations and it's ready for the winter season. The lifts and trails have been revamped and the new Village at Winter Park offers restaurants and lodging. Best of all, you can enjoy the mountain with serious savings from the "Free 4 All" package. Book 3 nights of lodging and 3 days of skiing by November 23rd and your fourth day is free. Winter Park's website also offers other vacation packages so check it out and start saving.

Aspen's favorite condo, The Gant, is celebrating its 35th birthday this year, and you can celebrate along with it. Special deals for the winter months are being offered, all of which add up to savings. In October, guests will receive $35 American Express cards for every bedroom that they book in the condos. In November, guests who are 3, 5 or 35-years-old will get a room credit worth $35 per reservation. December brings the ultimate money saver--book 4 nights at The Gant and get the 5th night for only 35 cents. Book now because The Gant turns 35 on December 27th and Aspen has never been cheaper!
Students can use their grades to take advantage of spring skiing at Aspen too. The Gant is giving lodging discounts to students who present their original report cards at check in. Every A will take 3% of the bill, every B, 2% and every C, 1%. Up to six grades are eligible for the discount and this offer is only good from March 22 to April 12, 2009.

If you want to ski and get a little pampered, the Westin Riverfront Resort in Avon (outside Beaver Creek) has a deal for you. The "Winter Wonderland" package not only includes 3 nights of lodging and lift tickets for 2 days, it also offers complimentary breakfasts, valet parking, a welcome gift and two 80-minute treatments at their Spa Anjali. The 3N package caters to two people and is available from November 26th to April 1st from $1,633.

No matter where you decide to go in Colorado, these deals are sure to sweeten up your ski vacation and keep some money in the bank.
