Fly Free-Stay Free if you're under 12 at Beaver Creek, Colorado

Beaver Creek Resort in Beaver Creek, Colorado may be known for its pristine skiing, world-wide appeal, alpine style village and celebrity sightings; but it's also a family resort with cozy suites and all the amenities. Ski magazine called it "The consummate kid-friendly resort" and with good reason. With ski schools, children's activity programs, and a new children's gondola, Beaver Creek is a hot spot for families with kids of all ages.

After the 2008-2009 ski season opens with a bang on November 26th, special savings are ready to entice savvy skiers and riders. The mid-season "Kids Fly Free" package means you can have a luxurious family vacation and your kids will fly free on American Airlines. Packages starting as low as $3255.00 per family include lodging in a 2BR condo at the Seasons at Avon (for 2 adults and 2 children), airfare from Dallas, lift tickets, and shuttle service.

This price was computed for travel between January 13-20th, but the promotion is actually valid January 4 - February 13th, 2009. Remember to book yourselves into Vail Eagle Airport on a Sunday through Wednesday, and arrange your departure out of Eagle any Tuesday to Friday. Each paying adult (18+) may bring one free child, ages 2-12. All AA flights to Vail are open for sale on this program, including connecting flights for those passengers traveling from a city where non-stop service is not available.

Vail Resorts is discounting season lift tickets, and offering other perks to buy early. If you do, you can spend your 20% savings for hot chocolate in the lodge or at the local jewelry boutiques, and walk straight to the lift without waiting in line. New skiers can take lessons at the "Ivy League of Ski and Snowboard Schools" with private and group lessons for children through adults. Kids will love the new Buckaroo Express Gondola, an eight-passenger gondola transporting skiers to beginner's terrain. Kids needing a break from the slopes can have fun at Small World Playschool while parents hit the town for shopping and dining or sports massages to restore those sore skiing muscles at 4 nearby spas.

Typical of the lodging specials available online, families can save 40% this winter at the Creekside Lodge in Beaver Creek's charming village. The 2 bedroom condos begin at $425/N during the periods December 10-25, 2008 and January 10-17, 2009, for those who book a minimum 3 night stay.
