Six Flags Magic Mountain announced recently that a new roller coaster will be added to the park, giving visitors another way to whet their appetites for the extreme.

TERMINATOR: THE COASTER will be a new wooden roller coaster that will provide the same level of fun, excitement, and thrills found on more modern steel coasters. Great Coasters International Inc. (GCII), who designed X2, is the company behind this new ride. Expect lots of state-of-the-art facilities and sound effects and most importantly, a thrilling ride that you may want to repeat again and again.

The coaster is set to open in the spring of 2009. It will be located next to Deja Vu on the site of the former Psyclone roller coaster. With this new coaster, Magic Mountain will be home to 16 roller coasters.
